Stumbled acroos your blog while looking for some images of James McMurtry for a mix tape of my own - his best of. Love your site, I spent two hours reading and listening to artists I had not heard before. Great information for music fans like myself. I would like to get a copy of your best of 2008 mix. Can I convince you to send one to me?

I've since added a few more tracks to this playlist. They are:

"NYC-Gone, Gone" by Conor Oberst
"Old Time Rock N Roll" by Adam Carroll
"Carolina Drama" by The Raconteurs

And I enjoyed this mix so much, I decided to go back and make a "best of" mix for 2007 as well. My conclusion? A bunch of great music was released over the past two years. Come to think of it, 2006 was also a good year. Such bountiful musical harvests!
